Professional Bio

Jesse is bent on CSS perfection and semantic HTML. She believes in a strict separation of data and presentation as a means to achieve media agnosticism.  This view on technology is the result of studying language as a human phenomenon and its output (speech, signing, emotion) as simply a set of alternate channels of expression of the same underlying faculty.  Her passion for CSS stems from the satisfaction of turning data into dynamic art.

In 2007, she joined RAMP, a semantic publishing platform provider where she lead the overhaul of the publishing template foundation as the Front End Lead.

In 2010 she joined Acquia as a Senior Front End Engineer and CSS specialist, working with Drupal for the first time after several years of experience themeing in WordPress.

Jesse graduated from Dartmouth College in 2004 with a BA in linguistics and from the School of Informatics at Indiana University in 2007 with a MS in Human Computer Interaction Design.  She lives in Cambridge, MA.
